PlayMemories Home is a software application that allows you to view, edit, manage and find your photos and videos. It is extremely easy to operate and comes with both basic and innovative functions.
As you start the application you are asked to choose the folders of your multimedia content. Then you are ready to make use of the program features.
You can sort your photos as you wish, by File size, File Name, Rating, and you can do this no matter what number of photos is imported, and with the Calendar Function, you can view photos listed into chronological order.
Also, if you want to share a picture to social networks, PlayMemories Home supports several services, such as YouTube, Dailymotion, Facebook, Flickr, Picasa, and others.
Moreover, PlayMemories is linked to the new cloud service, PlayMemories Online, so you can upload your photos to the cloud by simply dragging and dropping, as you are also able to view them on the cloud server.
And with the Camera Direct Function, you can view photos directly from your camera data so you don't have to import it to your computer.
The editing functions are present, but they are basic and include Red-eye correction, Photo trimming, Cutting and merging of videos. From the viewing options, the most noticeable is the possibility to map your photos and videos onto the map. Quite a nice feature, if you ask me.
To sum it up, PlayMemories Home is a handy tool for organizing your photo and video collection, while also having editing and sharing features.
Lets you upload photographs to Active Directory and manage them easily.

I have loved it for my Sony Cameras for years, but could not set it up on my new Windows 11 laptop. Please advise.
